At the Right Place All the Time

November 18, 2011

Living in a busy world is stressful.  We have to rush to the office in the morning, sometimes even without taking breakfast.  We load ourselves with a lot of “things to remember”, some of which we also forget.

Being organized is a gift to some and a struggle for the others.  I belong to the latter.

I keep forgetting where I put my keys, my eyeglasses, and all sorts of small, necessary things.  Sometimes I wish these things have beepers on them which I can activate to know where I put them.

One of the things that has helped me a lot is having a small notebook where I list all items I need to recall: where I put my things, what I will do for the day, important notes, etc.  This small notebook helps me to be organize.

We have to deal with time grabbers.  We cannot dig in our bags all the time to check if we brought our cellphone, or go from place to place searching for important documents which we brought home two days ago.  This is a lot of hassle.

At the Right Place All the Time.

Taste God

July 31, 2011

Taste and see that the LORD is good…Psalms 34:8.

Taste is often referred to food, as part of our senses.  When we taste, we sample a small portion to see how much we like a certain food.  We usually taste something we are not too familiar with.

The same is true with the verse above.  David is asking us to taste God, so that we would know that the Lord is good.

Some of us are aware that there is a God.  Yes, He exists!  But very few know Him well.  Some people may not have that personal relationship with Him to experience Him.

Taste God.  See if you like Him.  Most probably you will.

Coffee: It Warms the Heart

July 30, 2011

One of the simple pleasures I enjoy most is sipping coffee at breakfast.  Coffee gives a warm and feel good sensation that stays with me all day.  It perks me up in the morning especially when I feel sluggish.

Maybe, its the caffeine that wards off drowsiness and increase alertness.  Maybe, its the aroma that sends signals to the brain that anticipates the “kick” in coffee.

Or…maybe, its the great taste of the beverage that gives a good feeling.

Whatever that is, coffee sure tops the drink most people look forward to… everyday.

Sip to your heart’s content!

Its Raining and I Love It!

May 8, 2011

It’s summer.  The weather has become too hot these past few days that we just want to laze around and eat halo-halo.  (This is a mixture of fruits cooked in syrup with crushed ice and milk)  Ahhhh….refreshing.

Yesterday morning, we were greeted by trickles of rain.  Then a heavy downpour.  Then floods.  But isn’t it amazing how God can turn intense heat into a stormy weather?

This is actually a break.  Now we have a cool and windy day.

Thank you Lord for the rain.  I love it!
